In the form it looks like this:
Permanent address
(a) In India:
-----
(b) In County of domicile
--
I am clear with In India but confused with In County of domicile
Can some one please explain what it is?? Is it country instead of county?
Looks like a spelling mistake.
as per http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_is_country_of_domicile_means
It's US address

I did not feel like signing along for two reasons: we are not US citizen yet, and I consider myself citizen of the world and will always be. I do not aspire to become citizen of the United States of America.
Even when Americans sang their national anthem in a church, I felt not right. Churches are not supposed to be linked to states. There should be no country boundary within the Christian world.
There should be no country boundary within the world we want to build either.
By the way, if the United States go to war with your country of birth, who will you side with? Will the United States trust you?
Newsflash: USA is a country (with a boundary). USA has a national anthem. They like to sing it, everywhere. If it makes them happy when I sing it, I will sing it too. It is like visiting someone's home and you are asked to take off your shoes at the entrance. Maybe you don't agree with it, but out of respect to the host it is a nice thing to do.
Relax and be more generous! I think you have more boundaries in you than this country has.
(If USA goes to war with my home country, I think they will trust me less if I come here and live and refuse to sing the national anthem...)

I'll throw in my two cents and speak on behalf of the 300D. Though it does not have a metal body or a few other features found in the 10D and others, I find it to be a well-built camera that is more than meeting my needs. I have yet to be disappointed. Of course, if someone walks up to me today and offers to trade a MKII straight up for my 300D, I'll gladly give it up. ;)
If it helps, here's my gallery of images, all shot with a 300D.

Relax guys. My online status still showing "Fingerprinting fee rejected and case is in suspense" despite having finger printing done at ASC a year back.
I cannot confirm or deny the following piece of gossip but...
A mistake has been made on the system for payments. Some bright spark for got to put a so called "where" statement into the billing system for USCIS after the pricing structure changes went into effect. I am told this is being dealt with, but some applicants may find incorrect fees on their accounts pop up. Each lawyer will have different way of dealing with this problem. If you are pre price increase and have a suspended case; this maybe the reason for it...
Good luck to you all. This is just a thought/gossip...

This came in the newswire today about the challenges being faced in UK amongst the people who entered UK under the high skilled immigration program. Do do our stories in US have any similarity here?

Hi GCNirvana,
I found one of your earlier posts on this forum suggesting that 3 years back you were in the same situation as I am today - expired VISA and two extension approvals (797's). In my case, VISA expired in oct 09, current 797 expires 31 dec 09 and next (against I-140) starts jan 2010.
As your's was the only post i found on this topic, it will help me a great deal if you could let me know about your stamping experience. You mentioned that your stamp showed validity dates from both 797's, could you please share some more details on that? Did it have two start dates and end dates?
Besides, from another one of your posts, i gathered that it is best that i come back into the us only when my newer 797 is already active. i guess it wud reduce complications at POE. Would appreciate if you could give me some suggestions here too.
Well, i can already thank you for your posts as i really struggled to find information relevant to my case before i came across your posts.
Thanks.

Visa Stamp in Passport: 13-Jan-2007 (I94 in passport expires on 1/13/07)
Current I-797 : From 02/24/2006 to 04-Jun-2007
3-Year extension based on I-140 from: 05-Jun-2007 to 04-Jun-2010
In this scenario, if I goto India, say in Feb, get my visa stamping done, what will be the validity of my visa in the passport?
1. 05-Jun-2007 to 04-Jun-2010 as stated in my 3-yr extension or
2. the date I went for interview till 04-Jun-2010??
If its the former, then how can I get into US during March '07 as there will be a gap in my visa dates in the passport?
I will send the same questions to my attorney but would like to know before hand, just in case, if my attorney tries to act smart :(
Thanks in advance for your responses...

Laid off 6weeks back. Attended 4 interviews. Outof luck.
I used to get many calls from desi consultants. But not now. I do not know whether it is because of economy or my EAD status.
Here are my excuses to not to get job.
1.New Father (I was little confused about how every thing goes. Thank god no set backs here)
2.Functions(I was occupied to celebrate his 21st day).
3.Taking care of new born( He needs to be feed once in every two hours. Mother got tired of this.)
4.Holiday season.
5.Economy.
6.I am good at supporting my situation :) .
Hopefully I will land some where by Jan Mid.

I never said school can force her to maintain F1. All I said was if she wants to be on F1 (for whatever reasons) she needs to comply with school's policies. Also her maintaining or not maintaining F1 is immaterial to her legal immigration status in the country (which is safe by the virtue of pending I-485) it is just that she will cease to be on F1 status (her current non-immigrant status, just obtaining EAD doesn't mean she has abandoned F1 status, she needs to use it)
Also, she will no longer be on any non-immigrant status when school cancels her F1, from that point on her status will solely be based on I-485 and its outcome.
School can't force her to continue on F1 visa. Only thing she need to send school is her copy of pending I-485 receipt and thats it.

Q1: Yes
Q2: I-140 does not include any dependents. Without visa availability Child protection act does not work.
I guess that leaves only two options. Either leave US or file for his/her own Green Card application. Too bad.

Hi Friends
I believe that this forum was created as platform for all we guys who have been waiting in queues for long times to get thier Green card. This is place where we can learn & distribute information to help fellow members. We should respect this forum ,moderators, senior members who try to guide us for any of questions, doubts. Lets all be one & try to be on the same page & common mission instead of using abusive language, trying to fight , or anything which would divert our attention & waste time for other in cleaning up this mess.
I'm sure we all are well educated , grown ups who can decide whats right or wrong.
I apologize in advance if I have been preachy.
Thanks

Hi Maverick,
I applied in EB1 a year ago which was denied and appeal pending since 10 months. I am loosing hopes as even appeal cases are not processed in time. Atleast in desh, you can get it done quicker through other means !!!!. What I meant is ...INDIA has also lot of immigrants coming from neighbouring coutries but they get most of the benefits in time rather like us in US.

i dint get denail notice yet.Denied on april 22 .Getting worried .Is it normal for such a long delay in getting denail notice ?
NO, it is not normal. My lawyers recieved the denial notice in a weeks time and they had told me that they would contact USCIS if they did not get the notice in 14 days.

per my lawyer you can come back from EAD to H1 by filing a new H1 petition (if its past 6 years on H1, then you need some basis like approved I-140 or old LC). You will need to leave the US and return to activate the H1. So thats always an option if you jump to EAD.
In your case, you can still file a H1 transfer, if it comes without an I-94 attached (meaning H1 got transferred, but status was not activated which typically happens when last H1 status ended more than a couple of weeks ago like in your case) all you need to do is leave the US and return some PoE where you will get hte new I-94
You cannot come back on H1 once you cross 6 years and you have switched to EAD. For you to get H1 extensions beyond 6 years based on pending GC , you should already be in H status. If you are not in H status (e.g. EAD or some other status) then you cannot get H without being outside for 1 year and being counted in quota again.
