Hi,
Some online tax return websites have capabilities of pulling your W2 information from IRS site. I know turbotax does. Print out all those copies and your pay stubs. Send it to IRS with letter stating your problem. Before you do please apply for extension as april 15th is last date for tax return filing.
My wife worked as a consultant for first half of 2008 with a desi employer as an employee (on W-2). After many calls and emails we received W-2 Thursday that has income and taxes of only first two months. Now he says that he showed remaining 4 months as his profit so he can only send 1099. Please advise if I can take any legal action against this employer.

Bank of America(BOA) being a financial institution must have analyzed the risks before deciding to give credit cards to illegal aliens (no credit history and no SSN) and this would have been possible only with BOA having some kind of insider information on the status of the CIR.
My take is that BOA execs. know that the CIR is going to be passed in the summer. BOA knows for a fact that these 10-12 million illegal immigrants (read future customers) will have valid SSNs within the next 1 year or so.
This BOA action not consistent with traditional banking norms, is a precursor to the passing of the CIR in the house in the comming summer.

Can somebody explain how unused visas are recaptured?
Will unused RoW EB-1 be given to the most retrogressed category (EB-2 India)? Or will they go to EB-2 RoW? What does the law state? Will per-country quotas apply when unused visas are used?
There is no clearcut guideline on how overflow is supposed to work. From people's experiences this is what USCIS has been doing:
unused RoW EB-1 goes to RoW EB-2
unused RoW eb-2 goes to RoW EB-3
until the last quarter of the year unused RoW EB-3 stayed unused.
In the last quarter, unused RoW EB-3 spill over into all other countries irrespective of whether the country has hit its cap or not. a complete free-for-all...

- How come people like me go red after 1-2 posts, and utter rascals here remain fully green even after redded by many?
Even though the context of your question and intention is suspicious at best....it's actually a really good question.
Let me restate it for the benefit of others
Q. How does the red and green rating system truly work?
A. The general rule that it is directly related to how much fellow members like your post holds true but there are also some finer details. Supervisors/admins can award much higher points either positive or negative. The total number of your posts even if unrated is a factor...generally unrated posts tilt the balance towards positive...which makes sense since no one found it offensive.
So becoming green is easy when the majority of your posts help your fellow IV members.
It's really tough to stay red when you have a large number of posts cause lots of fellow members have to rate your posts negatively.
Hope this helps.
Admins can chime in here and clarify if I haven't explained it right.
It's good to have a clear explanation of policy.

has been handed to the House:

Thanks. My lawyer was worried to file I485 as derivative due to the fact my primary application is considered withdrawn. So he made a request in letter to adjudicate together instead of filing another 485. I guess i have to wait.

I am also in same situation. Two 140s (eb2 and 3) both have same PD. Have beed trying for interfile from last one year. I do not know if my case is eb2 or still in eb3. I enquired from Congressman and she told me that my case is assigned to a IO on 6th Aug so its in eb2. She is not listening to anything else after telling me this information. I have infopass on 2nd Sep. lets see ...

If you are not on H1 there is no reason to inform the USCIS. Make sure that they are not including your I-140 receipt number or A#.
Actually informing that you do not have a job is sufficent to revoke your I-140.
Then how come people are saying there wont be any impact if you lose your job in EAD

Well, we can keep the org name as IV, and just start a campaign with a better name (with descriptive URLs) without worrying about the overhead of changing registrations, etc.
There are some good points here, "ImmigrationVoice" sounds very broad and comprehensive. Most American's have never even heard of employment based immigration. Furthermore, they don't see what the problem is with H1Bs - they figure, why are you complaining, you are here in the glorious USA, you should be thankfull and happy.
Anyway, some better branding on our part with campaigns can serve the same purpose as a fullblown name change. For example, the campaign could be called: "Competitive Immigration", and it's derivatives. "Innovation America", like CompeteAmerica which has a great name. Also, "Keep America on Top" or KAT, just spewing ideas that come to mind.... and emphasize the need to keep and attract bright minds to America - or else they will compete with us offshore.
So, let's think about hatching campaigns - like a Google AdWord Campaign, for example, and we'll name those campaigns much more purposely and descriptively. And we still get to keep the IV name as the sponsor. Just a thought.
