Today I was talking to IO in Texas service center, during discussion I told her that India dates might retrogress.. can you please expedite my case. For that she replied that " that's what they are doing"

Illegals will lobby hard now for discrimination against Z category and come up with amendment, not to allow employers to ask for their status. For sure they will get this one under the protection act of discrimination.
Employers will not be allowed to asked the status. You are supposed to give your Z-plastic card after you accept the offer and the prospective employer accepts you. If he fires you since you are Z-class, then you are eligible to sue the employer for 1 mil $$. These are the amendments that will be passed along with this stuppp...d CIR.
GO ILLEGALLLL is the message for everyone. By the way, dont forget to get your parents / sisters / grand father / etc just few days before this law passes. Throw the passport away and let them claim that they are here for the past few years.

While it is true that EB 3 india will take "forever" for those with priority date after 2005, USCIS has been coming down heavily on recent spate of EB3 to EB2 filings. One thing to ask an employer who claims to file EB2 on your behalf is whether they have applied similar EB2s successfully for candidates at similar position that they are offering you. If they fail to provide a satisfactory answer, they are more than likely luring you with a false promise.

Yes she can go alone. She will need her H4 approval notice as well as your H1B approval notice. Additionally since you have applied for AOS take them for good measure. My husband recently went for H4 stamping in London and they did not actually require the adjustment receipt notice but did take anyway with his documents.

Here comes one more preacher. Most people on this forum are no saint, they not even a man (or woman) enough to stand up for themselves.
We are a Union and thats how a union works that is actively supporting the cause of its members.
If one is stupid enough not to understand that we are trying to help everyone and thus this "one help" need to be demanded then god help that person.
Understood, we all may have problems but those could be solved with whatever our share of work we can do to support this cause.
If someone says that they don't know what IV policies and activites are and blames that nobody explained to them. Well... thats a lame excuse. It is very much on the front page of IV
Number is the bargaining power and we are here to bargain. Period.

Now my direct question to you is : are in or are u out?

Whatever IV is doing fine, nobody here denies that. But here are few points which I think eveybody else is trying to convey, which somehow you don't understand:
1. This site has an open forum where not only active members of IV, but other people (cowerds, that is what you think, you out-spoken fellow) also seek advice, share their experiences and hence help each other. And mind you, because of these all people, IV and this site also get so much popular.
2. The other point is WHY YOU PUSH SO MUCH FOR HELP. I think everybody understands the efforts of IV, but let the person decide himself/herself whether he/she wants to give money, go to DC ralley or not. Help is not demanded.
3. Please mind your language. I don't know why you have so much of anger and you use abusive, disturbing language for others. Its very easy to say a F* word, but very difficult to sort out others problems in decent and graceful manner. I don't think any group like IV (CARE, CRY and hundreds of NGOs in India) will push people like you do.
4. And people like you are shame for a group like IV (please ask pappu too to confirm) who spread negativity like you did in this thread.

I guess since no one wants to do anything about their situation - we can all sit back and wait for another 4-5 years and hope that we get a green card at that time since that is the amount of time it is going to take most of us if nothing was to change in the current process. Good luck to ALL and Happy Waiting :)

I know the RD (which is printed in our paper receipt - ie day when USCIS received your application, and not the date when USCIS mailed your the receipt) is when the 180 day clock gets started.
