I think, if at all Minister is being planned to be met , it is better only few problems are presented to Minister.
PROBLEMS IN INDIA MAY DILUTE THE FOCUS. I think the following would be best to present ..
1) Retrogression.
2) Social Security Treaty.
Numbers justifying above data can do a lot good to explain the problem.
I think VISA retrogression problem can be addressed to the minister. That itself will give BIG relief to thousands of people from India.Make a special VISA Quota for India is another good option. Minister can suggest this option to the US Officials and Senators ! He is scheduled to meet some US senators in DC and NYC.
This is great opportunity for poeple living in Maryland and DC area. It is easy to go and meet him personally ! Think about it guys....

Guys,
Getting a residency now is very difficult. Getting a waiver now should not be that hard. I would not say it is easy but if you get a residency position, just take it. We hesitated at first but got through all the issues without any problem.

I agree with you map_boiler. I have also seen from some other thread that some one with EB3/India/Apr 2004 PD got approval in July. If the July bulletin is void , How can they approve that ?
You are right , It looks like they approved cased with NO PD but with ready FBI check and also requested numbers for the current PD but sec check pending.

Called Customer service few times and response was that. status was not on their system. So, no use in calling them. Just wait for your cheque to cashed.

I don't know much about Labor Subs to answer...what I did notice is that your lawyer is through company...not going to generalize, but with company lawyers you really should question them and not believe totally what they say....meaning do your own research too. Company lawyer's are interested in keeping employees longer at company and can sometimes push you to do things to cause that. I don't know why you can't have 2 I 140's. But withdrawing your first one would invalidate your 485/ead and depending on your priority date (which would be 2007/2008) and country of birth, you may not have a chance to apply for 485 for a long long time (meaning stuck in same job for long long time...). Again I don't know much about labor subs, my advice is to do your own reasearch, get answers, opinions, and not just take company's lawyers word on everything.

what bothers me is that I am not cited in the literature yet and I do not have awards.

You won't get a definite answer because its not a point based system. I think EB2 NIW is easier and current for Egypt so go for that. USCIS lists the criteria (at least 3 I think) that you must satisfy. If not then not much you can do.

My I-140 was never approved..
there was a first RFE for my exp letters,
and then there was an enquiry against Employer
and then RFE for A2P
and after answering A@P it is denied.
while it was pending, during July07 fiasco we applied for I-485.

Why do you need a new lawyer? You don't need any lawyer now for that matter, but the lawyer who filed your I-485 should not have any problem in continuing to represent you even if your last employer paid your GC processing fees. If you signed G-28, which most likely you did, your lawyer established relationship with you to represent you.
Infact today is my 2nd day at my new job. I have decided not to inform USCIS. And I am in process of hiring a new lawyer , since my previous company paid for my GC , the company lawyer asked me to go with different lawyer for all my future needs.
I will hire a lawyer and plan to file G28 form in this month.

You need to have your old I-140 approved to port PD to your new I-140. If the old 140 is not approved by the time you file you new 140...thats fine. At a later stage when your old 140 gets approved have your lawyer send a letter to the processing center with PD porting request for the new one. At that time your new 140 can be in processing stage.

Why don't you find someone who is in similar situation ? i.e. who is on EAD or on H1. There several websites that can help you : shaadi.com, jeevansathi.com, bharatmatrimony.com. Now I'm not endorsing these sites. Just providing you with some options you can look at. Man accept it - life is tough. We have to play the hand we have been dealt.
