Here is what I found from Murthy Forum --
According to the AILA-NSC Liaison minutes of 04/12/2007, the following standards generally applies in determining EB-2 requirement:
(1) U.S. master�s degree � as long as it is in the field required no additional documents would be required
(2) 4 yr bachelor�s degree + 2 yr master�s degree (India) � with degrees in the same or related fields this will generally be considered the equivalent to a U.S. master�s degree with no additional documents required
(3) 3 yr bachelor�s degree + 3 yr master�s degree (India) � with degrees in the same or related fields this will generally be equivalent to a U.S. master�s degree with no additional documents required
(4) 3 yr bachelor�s degree + 1 yr postgraduate diploma + 2 yr master�s degree (India) with degrees in the same or similar field : generally be considered the equivalent of a bachelor�s degree plus one additional year of education so the beneficiary would also need to have 5 yrs progressive experience. If the postgraduate diploma is determined to be progressive postgraduate education that is a continuation of the 3 yr bachelor�s degree it is possible that this would be considered the equivalent to a U.S. Master�s degree and there would be no need to establish 5 yrs progressive experience.
(5) 3 yr bachelor�s degree + 2 yr master�s degree (India) � Generally this would be the equivalent of a bachelor�s degree + 1 year and would require 5 yrs progressive experience to qualify under the 2nd preference category: However, foreign credential evaluation using the following additional evidence could make it to EB-2, Master's degree equivalent:
Examples of comparable U.S. master�s degree programs requiring only one year to complete (indicating that a total of 5 years of undergraduate and graduate level education is sufficient); or
Credential evaluations that provide a detailed comparison of credit hours completed by the beneficiary for the 3 year bachelor�s degree program with credit hours required by comparable U.S. bachelor�s degree programs.
(6) 3 yr bachelor�s degree + 2 yr master�s degree (India) + 5 yrs progressive, post-master�s degree experience � Generally the educational degrees would be determined to be the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor�s + 1 year and the beneficiary would meet the statutory requirement
(7) 3 yr bachelor�s degree + 2 yr master�s degree + 1 yr postgraduate diploma (India) � Generally this would be the equivalent of a bachelor�s degree + 1 year and would require 5 yrs progressive experience to qualify under the 2nd preference category. Friends I think a great injustice is being done to NSC filers , their applications are taking months for ead and ap, while TSC filers are getting ead adn AP as soon as they get receipt, do you think this will improve for NSC in future, at this time looks like august NSC filers will haveto wait till the end of the year for EAD,ap, which is sad.

Then 2012 Eb3 PD will be 2007 or 2008 and EB2 will become current. Also in 400k many drop outs will be there due to recession
So it is a reasonable calculation that PD will start improve from 2010 end. Only problem is CIS should not waste Visa. Each number of waste of visa will impact EB3
the effort to address the ugly country caps and retrogression in general shouldnt depend on someone else's misfortune - why should we profit from some other familiy's heartache? the system is atrocious and needs to be reformed - even if you get your gc tomorrow, hopefully u wont instantly join the group that wants to shut the door on those following-& pls make sure whateevr u sire too doesnt turn anti like the nutcases that i've come across

Did you get a receipt notice and transfer notice for your 485 ( i got my EAD and AP and only got a transfer notice for 485)?
Does anyone kn ow if the 485 receipt is required tog et FP notice?
Also, my 485 receipt has a receipt date of august 28, but I am a july 2nd filer..does anyone else here have the same situation?

I don't know if it is really easy to renew in US.Because i just filled the form with this link https://passport.gov.in/nri/OnlineRegistration.jsp?pocode=USAW and saved the application.I thought It'll save my details , but It looks like it sent the application to embassy.When I wanted to reprint the form it's asking the Web File No which I never received.May be I need to call them for this #.I tried to fill the form and save again.It's coming up with blank page without any Web File No.

I would strongly urge everyone to file for canadian PR without any agency/lawyer. Just visit cic.gc.ca
Fill in the form and send them asap. They will keep coming back if they need more docs. Don't rush for FBI report [fingerprints] as they are valid only for 6 months. They will ask for it after everything else is in order.
Your total expense per person starting from start to finish ....about $ 2000
It includes initial fees, medical exams, landing fees etc.
Your total time could range from 1.5 years to 2.5 years depending on the case.
Hope this helps.

My lawyer says "If we file the I-140 based on the LC-PERM, we would interfile it into your pending AOS, so your AOS would be pending based on the pending I-140 (NOT the withdrawn LC Sub)."
Is it possible to interfile if the PD is not current? My pending LC SUB and the PERM LC PD, both are not current. Please confirm whether it is true or not. This will help me make my case.
