I did sent an email to NSC Follow and got the following message on last Thursday:
"Your case is currently with an officer. You may sign up to have case status updates emailed to you at USCIS Home Page (http://www.uscis.gov). Please note that it may take 2-3 days for your case status to be updated after a decision is made on your case."
Did anyone get similar response from NSC.
I am not sure when the officer will make the decision :confused: Still waiting for the magic approval email.

Dear All,
We need to expose the fraudulent EB1 filing by Indian companies! Under the circumstances, I think that this issue is much more relevant now! As such, I would once again like to share the information which I obtained about 6 weeks back from the local Congressman's office.
I was pleasantly suprised to learn that many Indians have been quietly writing about the fraudulent EB1 filing by Indian IT companies to lawmakers! I was told that the local office had received about 50 or so signed (hard copy) letters and that they had subsequently spoken to the INS office about this. It is a good thing that some conscientous Indians are quietly working behind the scenes for the welfare of the community.
Subsequently, I also made a letter on the subject and hand delivered the same the very next day, to the Congressman's office. I then also posted my letter to the Senators of my state.
I once again plead with all fellow EB Indian friends to write letters (please do not Email) about the fraudulent EB1 filings by Indian IT companies (TCS, CTS, L&T-IT, Infosys, Vetri software, et al) to your local congressman / senators. Please also visit your lawmakers to follow up. Personally, I feel that this very very important. IV is there to help us, but all of us must also play a role to get results
It is the strategy that will win the war, not always brute force! We should adopt a multi-pronged attack strategy, realising that each ever visa no. we get is important!
Spending about an hour of your time to write, print, sign and post could save many atleast 2 years of wait time. Did your realize this?
Imagine the impact of 1000s of covers getting dumped in your law makers' offices!
Even lawmaker's offices feel that the impact of printed and signed hard copies is much higher than Emails!
If we are united and focused, we can all win!

If USCIS is providing spillover visas to EB2 in May, shouldn't the PDs of China and India (countries with most demand) have the same PDs in May VB? Doesn't this also mean that in the worst case the PD of EB2 India will be Jul 22 2006 (the current PD of China) in May VB?

I was absolutely pissed off with the "local" ppl that got greedy and dragged the whole economy with them. Seeing that there are ppl like you (one of us) who are pretty much the same, i am seething with rage. Because of idiots like you, people with a pristine credit history of more than ten years and some saved money cant buy a decent house in the bay area (and elsewhere) and have to see their hard-earned money go down the drain in 401k and stocks.....I wish ppl like you rot in foreclosure hell and no one ever lends credit you, ever again!!!

At personal level ( micro level) these people are making right decisions. As long as you are not committing crime, nothing wrong with making decisions which are good for you. I will probably do the same thing if I am in that situation.
The core problem with system was cheap money because of lax lending standard and low interest rates ( blame Greenspan) and affordable housing (like ACORN from Dems). These decisions are made by people in power and so called smart people. Individuals do have their contribution to the problem but the macro decisions provided them means to have things which they can not afford. The bubble had to burst sooner or later ....
So right now, remember wealth is always relative. So since you haven't bought house, you don't have negative equity or declining value home.You haven't foreclosed so you can still get loan at decent rate and buy house at much cheaper price. All the people with money in the market are affected by recent downturn. So relatively speaking you are doing much better than a lot of other people ....
BTW I am in the same situation as you are and waiting for good opportunity to buy house at cheap price. Do you see the positive side ? I hope you do .....

I am in a similar situation. I applied just 95 days before. My lawyer "forgot" and I applied in a rush in the end. I am hoping it will not be a problem.
My understanding is that you will remain in status even if you do not have EAD or AP. However you cannot work.
I have a meeting with my lawyer on wednesday. I will be asking her about this. I am hoping for peace of mind that this does not become an issue.
I checked with somebody in the forum like you and he got it in 2 and 1/2 months. I checked in the USCIS web site. It says you have to apply 6 months in advance. I did not know about this since I got it in a month last year when my case was in CSC.

Yes..OCT bullettin holds the key to EB-3..if its bacck logged..then EB-3 call SOS and port to EB-2..none else will work
I have read it in Ron Gotcher's forum that what Sept bulletin talked about was only for Mexico and people should not mix it with EB-3 India. Also Apr'2001 was the PD given to the asylum(245i) cases by the Clinton administration. But with dates moving to Nov'2001 I believe that hump have gone past. My personal belief is EB-3 India should go around Jun-2002. But In case it remains in 2001, EB-3 Indians should take some drastic decisions. You may call me pessimist but I don't see any help coming from the congress, rather there could be some weird irrational decisions which could leave us paralysed.
