He wrote back to me saying that soon he will place a link to this campaign on the main section of his website. Can someone ask Ms Sheela Murthy and Mr Rajiv Khanna to add this campaign link on their websites too?

I couldn't agree with you more. Just made a one time donation of $100 via paypal.
Receipt ID: 1988-7134-7465-5315
Of course I am going to continue to be a monthly donor.
Thanks to everyone for your best wishes. I am so looking forward to my trip to India in December this year, my boss approved my vacation today and then sent me home to celebrate!!:D
Hoping to see many more approvals this week and all month long.:)
-Nola
Congratulations. No more checking processing dates, I-94 or most importantly that visa bulletin shit that we so anxiously wait for. Enjoy the freedom.

How much clout does this congresswoman have? She seems to understand the entire scenario better than any american soul out there! It also seems like she has spent a lot of time on this and understands the system very well.
I guess it remains to be seen what kind of impact her letter will have on USCIS. Obviously, USCIS did something unlawful.
She understands it better because look at her biography:
http://lofgren.house.gov/biography.shtml
Professional Career
Served as Staff Assistant to her predecessor, Congressman Don Edwards, 1970-1978;
Worked on impeachment proceedings, the Equal Rights Amendment, and creation of the Don Edwards National Wildlife Refuge in the South San Francisco Bay
Practiced immigration law as a partner in the firm of Webber & Lofgren, 1978-1980
Taught immigration law at University of Santa Clara School of Law, 1977-1980
Served on Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors, 1981-1994
U.S. Congress
Elected in 1994 as only freshman Democrat from west of the Rocky Mountains
Serves on Committee on the Judiciary:
Chair of Subcommittee on Immigration, Citizenship, Refugees, Border Security and International Law
Subcommittee on Administrative Law
Serves on Committee on Homeland Security: Subcommittee on Emerging Threats, Cybersecurity, and Science and Technology
Subcommittee on Border, Maritime and Global Counterterrorism
Serves on Committee on House Administration
Chair of Subcommittee on Elections
Serves as Chair of the 34 Member California Democratic Congressional Delegation

Are you racist and believe that people of south asian descent are not skilled enough and hence do not deserve to even be on this forum, let alone engage dreams of an American citizenship?
you probably think you are the best and most skilled since you are from Dominican republic, and perhaps will not have to wait for a GC or even citizenship all that long. Look around, open your eyes, there are people from India/China who have been on this rollercoaster since 2001, and deserve a citizenship.
Stop this hatred of Asians or is it Indians??
Cool my friend. That guy has given false details in his profile. I know he hides all his original details. He must be a cheap guy. Neglect him....

Guys,
Thanks for the quick response, much appreciated. I think I have the answer to my question.
Essentially:
1. RD will determine sequence in which AOS are looked at by case officers at USCIS. So July applicants with 2006 PD will geat EAD/AP, etc sooner than October applicants with 2002 PD.
2. In the event of retrogression (say to 2005), only those applications which have a current PD at the time of visa approval will get the green card. So 2002 PD will get GC before 2006 PD.
I hope I understood correctly?
Yes.
A 2002 PD would get GC earlier that 2006 PD, even though the 2006 PD may get EAD/AP and other benefits earlier. EAD and AP have nothing to do with PD, only I-485 depends on PD.
Just pray your labor is approved by the time the dates move forward (hopefully in October).
Also -- it doesn't hurt to be prepared -- get all documents ready asap ...

By accepting the applications for 1st week of July USCIS would potentially
be cooling down 65% of peoples and thereby breaking down the concerted effort and lawsuit everything ....
Then once the steam goes off this issue send this 65% to some infinite coldstorage/blackbox like BPC... May be this time the BPC will be created in deserts of Arizona or Mountains of Colorado.
They are planning "Damage Control" for sure ...

Visa Bulletin Mess Update: Rumors and Innuendo
HLG has confirmed that the CIS is not returning I-485 Applications back to those who filed I-485 during the first week of July. This is leading many to speculate that the CIS may reverse course and re-re-amend the July Visa Bulletin; whether the Visa Bulletin actually reopens remains to be seen. HLG normally refrains from commenting on rumors, but we have talked to several Washington insiders and believe that this is seriously being considered.
What does this mean for foreign nationals who planned on filing I-485s in July 2007?
HLG recommends that all foreign nationals who planned on filing I-485s in June take two actions:
Have your medical appointments completed. Medical appointments can back up quite quickly. Therefore we urge people to complete their medicals.
Send in your documents to HLG. HLGs I-485 Step By Step Guide has a list of documents that we need for all I-485 filing. HLG will not begin preparing the I-485 at this time, but we still recommend that you send us all of the items on the list.
HLG I-485 Step By Step Guide: http://www.hammondlawfirm.com/485step_by_step.htm
What does this mean for foreign nationals who planned on filing via Consular Processing?
We urge all foreign nationals to attend consular appointments. The Consulates are clearly issuing visa stamps to those with appointments.

Today its very windy and a bit cool outside.. I'm going out there to test it out.
Keep up the good work Needhelp. This shows your committment to staying healthy and supporting Team IV.
In times when the temperature drops, try wearing a headband to keep the cool air off of your forehead and also try wearing a hat. I do look like a running geek, i have on hat, sun glasses and headband. But after 10 years of running, i don't care if anyone laughs at me. At least i know I am comfortable!

It's extremely difficult, if not impossible to maintain PR status in both US and Canada due to the residency requirements. Once you get your US GC the best thing to do is to abandon your Canadian PR if you intend to live in the US and make your home here. Frankly I don't see any benefit of mainatining your Canadaian PR. If you try to do that it might even jeopardize your GC. Google and you will find lots of advice on this issue. I plan to live and work here in the US.
Thanks Lasantha. Yes, I have been reading a lot on google about it. Some readers also suggested landing and come back using AVR as I have a valid HIB approval but still I am not feeling comfortable doing it. I guess I will not land there. My whole process until 485 went very smooth, I am in ROW category, and hope all goes well till approval. I am also planning to stay in US.
Damn, this whole thing is giving me headache now

Thanks for the reply!!
I have not been FPed recently. All 3 of us (me, my wife and daughter) were FPed in 2007. Then we filed for renewal in 2008 and got the EAD with no FP.
I was told by an InfoPass officer that FP are valid for 15 months..and after 15 months if PD is not current - they electronically re-validate the FPs.
Then I had called USCIS cust serv and they told me if my PD did not become current by May '10.. I should get FP notice..since it will be 30 months (15 + 15 months) since my last FP appt.
Anyone has info about my Que no. 2 ??

pappu,
Is there any thing we can do to save IV forums, from all these so called smart people.
Simly these guys want to derail the whole discussion either it is EB3 push or visa capture or any kind of fruitful discussion.
I know it is difficult to stop creating and screening ids, atleast can you delete some unrelated postings and make sure that there is some healthy discussion continues and people like me wont stop visiting IV.
