So got I-485 approval email for self and wife last night at 11:30pm MST.
My American Dream journey:
Came to the US in 99'Fall for MS.
1st GC Labor applied in 2002 but got laid off due to bad economy.
2nd GC Labor applied in 2005 then changed company.
3rd GC application in Jun'06 and still with the same company.
Center : NSC.
Priority Date: June23rd'06

If you have an argument with some members on the forum, I think it should be restricted to just that. Calling every EB2 applicant a bigot is rude and uncalled for.
My colleague who recommended me to this forum is an EB2 applicant and is supportive of complete EB backlog elimination and is active in the IV state chapter inspite of getting his green card last year. Even the EB2 applicants on this particular thread have largely tried to point to how we should focus on the larger issue instead of fighting among ourselves. If you do not believe in IV, thats your choice - but I think we need this platform to achieve any relief for EB3.
I look forward to working on IV action items and lawmaker meetings. lets get this issue resolved for every EB applicant

I would now like to comment on some facts which are result of my observation over a period of 3 years starting from 2007 till current date
The only proposal which helped EB3 is July 2007 fiasco with EAD and AP benefit and before we give thanks to IV please remember that back peddeling by USCIS was not just because of just IV but also because of strong pressure from AILA. If EB3 benefited from July 2007 fiasco it is only because EB3 was part of all the EB categories and not because IV was aware of EB3 plight.
Now after July 2007 nothing has been ever done to relieve pressure on EB3. All the benefit have been provided to EB2 and all EB3 is told is after EB2 gets current EB3 wil get benefit but nobady talks about EB2 never getting current and the fact is EB2 will never get current and till that time EB2 will get all spill over visa and EB3 will get 0 (Zero) spil over visas

Spoke with Carl Shusterman today and he has requested a copy of my law suit. He his heading a meeting with AILA in two weeks and it appears wheels are in motion for bill/amendments to cspa to protect children who have already aged out!!!!!!!!!! so you may wish to keep checking out this thread http://expatsvoice.org/forum/showthread.php?t=23 also subscribe to his news letter at www.shusterman.com

It is not before time that this piece of legislation got a review to close some of the gaping holes in it.
I am hoping in particular that those of us whose children aged out while our labor certification was languishing in the backlog centers get to join their families again.

I am in the same situation.Posted May 7 to Arizona lock box. Received May 10 @ 11:12AM in Arizona. Check not encashed nor receipt notice received. I am going to wait for a week to 10 days before I call the Service center. Could be stacked up because of the New EAD format that is being issued.

I did not write this bill. You should go to challenge Rep. Issa for that clause. In my previous post, I already said I am perfectly OK if the IV core want to modify the bill, so that the 55K can be applied to everyone. Is that very clear?
My friend there is no need for you to get antoganized with me because what i said in my previous post is more a message to everyone on this forum and is not anything personal against you. In fact i am surpirsed that you are even discussing opening up teh 55K to everyone.

2)Must be present in the US for at least 6 months in every year
3) Cannot apply for certain government jobs
4)Cannot vote
5)Cannot apply for a US passport
6)Must be renewed every 10 years?

That's not correct. There is big difference between h1B annd GC and it is not for 10 years. it is for ever unless you don't fulfill some conditions.

Having 8 post or 800 should not count for seniority. we should be able to ask ourselves how much productive contribution we have towards this forum instead of how much contribution we have to this forum. QUALITY is what that matters more than QUANTITY.

I do not think anyone is accusing IV of taking sides. I do not think they ever campaigned for EB2 and not EB3, The point is completely missed. But the movement happening is for EB2 only and not EB3, so it is only human for EB3 folks to see and feel depressed that nothing is happending for them.
Not few days ago, the administrators have themselves mentioned that there is no hope for EB3 unless a CIR is brought in congress and the only other thing for folks to do sooner is to Port, and which we all know only a few can do, not everyone...
In the light of all this...are we not missing an action plan????
I have contacted my lawmakers, sent letters to them...and its not even a long time since I joined this forum...the point is how do we make new people motivated?
