Just to be safe: I'd suggest that you contact your lawyer regarding this.
After which, try and see if you can contact the same person at ICE.
(Wouldn't want this to become a "reason" later.....for any issues, like someone to claim that you were a "no-show"...)
Another possibility might be that it still might be a hoax.
Some colleague@work might be aware the person's name who came by 2 months ago.
They might have decided to have fun with that info.....

Talked to an io at neb sc.within 5 sec of me starting to talk the ffice interuppted and she apologosed for doing that and said because of huge vol of appli there is a delay in the receipt notice.i SAID I AM july 2 nd filer and she said it might be in the first week of aug..(i had said the same thing in my earlier post too after i spoke toa diff officer)..She asked to keep checking the check clearnace.

Case transfered to NBC - Dec 2nd 2007 (me & spouse)
Case status changed to interview - Dec 4th 2007 (me & spouse)
Preliminary process complete USPS mail - Dec 4th 2007 (me & spouse)
Case pending at the USCIS office transferred to email - 02/12/2009 (me & spouse)
RFE - 02/13/2009 (me & spouse)
Soft LUD - 02/17/2009 <------ (me & spouse) (here is where i think the RFE notices are being printed today and will be mailed - we should probably get them by this Friday 2/20)
assumption 1 - Being that both me & spouse received RFE, i am thinking it mostly is either health records, finger prints, photo graphs, or signatures (we had g-28 to let our attorney sign on behalf of us and they (uscis) might need original signatures)
assumption 2 - Worst of all because the status changed to RFE on 2/13 and we might not get the notices till (02/20) we lose a whole week just waiting on the notices and we will have mere 3 weeks to respond back
likely fact - for whatever reason we are very few folks who are in this boat with same pattern and have to stick together to see where we will end with this

You call it cynical. I call it realistic my friend. If it makes you "feel good" and thats why you support the idea then fine. However the thread was started stating this is somehow good for our money. I am not convinced.
My point is, firstly this is a far way from fruition, and even if it happens there will be a queue of gov't bureaucrats lining up and licking their chops to meddle with it. Furthermore the leftist parties there will ensure that every socialist policy in the books will be applied to your so called retirement funds. A steady revenue stream of that magnitude will not be left in peace. That much I can assure you.

Actually, the numbersusa website makes mention of SA 2143 (John Cornyn) of HR 1585,(currently being debated) which according to them allows for recapture of unused EB visas from 1996 and 1997.
Dont know if it is true or not, they are encouraging their folks to lobby against it.

Keep in mind that it is higly likely that DOS has changed its strategy of releasing visa numbers starting this year. Previously, they would release numbers per quarter. But this time, from all accounts it appears they have moved away from that model to improve USCIS efficiency. They may have released almost all of the annual quota by now.

Check the Feb 2007 visa bulletin where they made EB2 India Unavailable as the annual quota was over. It came back again only because there was spillover from ROW.
Based on this, it is very unlikely that there will be much forward movement in July.

Hi everyone,
I reviewed the text of the bill...and, to the best of my understanding, the Dream Act applies to both legal and illegal children. This bill is crucial for me. I am 27 years old and have been in the United States since age 1 (Yes, 26 years)...LEGALLY!!! My husband (i married another visa holder and changed my status about 5 years ago) and I have been pending for a greencard for about 2.5 years now (I'm not counting the other failed attempts)...and still no luck. I completed my bachelors degree in Psychology years ago and cannot work (my field of study is fairly common in the US...nobody I've come across was willing to sponsor for an h-1). Unfortunately, going back to my "home" county isn't an option for me because this is the only home I've ever known. Anyhow, I would really appreciate everyone's support...hopefully this piece of legislation can benefit people like myself and we can contribute to society as well. Thanks!! :)

I think we should dedicate one day on leaving messages at his show. Lets make it a saturday/sunday. All the members can leave messages, asking him to be fair.
I know a lot of ppl will come back saying its of no use blah blah............
whole idea is to try. If ppl only get motivated by results, then there is no point trying at all...........
My experience is sending messages to the person whom we are going to target won't help. We need to counter attack using a different and equally powerful channel. The negative comments we post on Lou Dobbs and CNN are never posted or maybe never read to the end.
