The above are my case updates. I just wanted to check one more thing. When i got my FP request the center on it was MSC. Has the same happened with anyone else.

It seems yes, because if you look at , the approvals started from July 21st.
What matters is if it is assigned to an IO, at what position is your file...

I think academic/non profit organizations do not have any quota limit. They can file the petition whenever they want. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Offcourse, you have only 8 posts in this forum and very much junior to this community.
Having 8 post or 800 should not count for seniority. we should be able to ask ourselves how much productive contribution we have towards this forum instead of how much contribution we have to this forum. QUALITY is what that matters more than QUANTITY.

Just happen to see your signature file and found that you have a RD around end of June 2007 at TSC. I think we can use it as data reference to say TSC processing time will go to at least end of June 2007, from 04/30/2007. That is probably a good news for whose files in TSC.

No you cannot renew before 12 months from exp date

Lawyers are creating rumors based on some misunderstanding???
I am not sure how far it is true, but this is the content of the email I got from my attorney when I pressed him to file at the earlierst.
"As soon as we have these forms back, all of the evidence for filing remaining from you, and I review the completed filing, we will file it. We appreciate your interest in filing on the first day the filing allows. We will endeavor to do that. I should point out that the current bulletin allows for filings throughout July. It is possible that the filings could be discontinued later in July. We are in touch with officials in Washington about this issue and will file your application in a timely fashion for obtaining the benefit when the filing is properly prepared."

Nothing new about that, he is copying news from here and there most of the time. But he provides good service to the community by keep an eye on whatever is going on.
These developments indicate the things are progressing well and we are on the right track. That's why, as a last measure, CHC had to do a press conference on the steps of the Congress to put pressure on the House Leadership/Speaker. It shows that CHC and House leadership are on opposing side of the issue and that is why CHC had to openly show this difference of opinion. It indicates that the House leadership have made a decision about moving forward the Lofgren bills. This news item indicates an excellent development.
And it appears, while CHC is putting pressure on House leadership for not doing Lofgren bills, IV is asking us all to call (and put pressure) on CHC members to support Lofgren bills. Smart move, I will call again today.

CHC is doing some impression management to show it to their constituents saying that they did all that they could. Hi IV members!
I know many of us have been toying with ideas to increase membership. I wanted to start a separate thread just to highlight the following idea - Every member bring one additional member to IV.
Specifically, these are the bullet points I suggest:
1. By December 31, each of you bring one member to IV.
If you really think about it, it is not a difficult task. Every one of us knows atleast one person stuck in GC process, that is talking conservatively. It takes less than 15 minutes to call one person and explain IVs efforts and request his/her support.
2. By January 15, each of us take responsibility to get the member we brought to IV to contribute to the cause. And I am not suggesting any particular amount.
3. Each of take responsibility in having them update their information on IV website, so that when the need arises, they can be contacted (for sending webfaxes etc. like last week).
Also, whenever you bring someone to IV, please post on this thread (it will encourage others). I feel this approach will work, if we keep this thread alive, and try to stick to the time deadline (deadlines might not have worked before, because they were too long term).
Also, please keep this thread on track, without any other discussions.
So IV'ers, lets add ONE member, and get ONE contribution!!!!

I am taking courage to write to you after a long wait of 7-8years legally. I have been working since last 9 years for a Dallas based small company ( xxx Inc) with revenue of around $xxx a year. My skills contributed this company to stay in competition with billion dollar companies ( xxx,xxx,xxx). My wife in similar field is serving xxx ( xxx ), Fort worth.
We are highly skilled professionals from India, and have plans to contribute even more by establishing our own company and generate more income.
Since last 10 years I have been paying my taxes,ssn,medicare without fail.
Mine and my wife's Permanent residency process ( Green Card process ),EB3-India, is stuck since last 7.5years and with current pace it may take another 4years, a total of 11-12 years.
I am not sure about the relief through CIR.
During now thru CIR interim, I request you to instruct USCIS to apply the spill over of unused employment visas in the order of oldest priority date and not by the by category.
Right now, the spill over benefit is helping the applicants who applied 3years after me.
If 1) spill over order would have not changed 2years back and
2) 245(i) applicants would have not clubbed into existing quota,
my life would have been in order, and I would have not bothered you.
Please help,
